Amana Hope & Care Initiative is a Non-Governmental, Non-Partisan, Non-Profit making Organization registered with the corporate affairs commission (CAC) in 2018. The Organization Focuses on addressing the plight of vulnerable women and chirldren in the area of maternal and child health, we also encourage girl child education and discourage child labour through re-orientation and capacity building.

 

MISSION

To increase public awareness to the disadvantaged groups on health related issues, education and economic emporwerment.

 

VISION

To facilitate the emergence of decent society especially for the vulnerable groups.

ACTIVITIES

AHCI has provided intervention to some vulnerable groups in some communities across kaduna state, and is working closely with the media in disseminating information that has direct bearing on the life of citizens.

Farida Abubakar

Farida Abubakar : A broadcast Journalist, Vastly experienced Television content Producer and Presenter. Between 2007 and 2011, she served as Government House correspondent for the Kaduna state Media Corporation and thereafter, held the prestigious position of the Chairperson of the state's Chapter of the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) in addition , she served as Chief Press Secretary/Head of Media Desk to the First lady, kaduna state between 2013 and 2015. She is the Founder/Chief executive officer Amana Hope and Care initiative (AHCI). Farida Abubakar has served in many Committees, which include, presidential Visitation panel to Polytechnics and Colleges of Education (2012) and presently member Grievance Redress Committee (GRC) Appeals Projects, Kaduna State Coordinating Office and National Executive Member Jamiyar Matan Arewa. She is Married with Children.

Brig Gen Olajide Laleye (Rtd)

BRIGADIER GENERAL OLAJIDE LALEYE (RTD) DSS psc (+) fcwc FCM CMH Brigadier General Olajide Laleye (Retired) was born in Benin City but hails from Lagos State. He attended and graduated with an American High School Diploma from Hillcrest School Jos in 1983 and thereafter proceeded to the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in 1984 as an Officer Cadet. He was commissioned into the Nigerian Army as a Second Lieutenant in 1989 as an Infantry Officer and rose to the rank of Brig Gen before his retirement in February 2016. Retired Brig Gen Laleye has several military qualifications, medals and awards amongst which are Directing Staff of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College(psc+), Fellow of the Combined Defense College Cameroon (fcwc), Forces Service Star (FSS), Meritorious Service Star(MSS), and Distinguished Service Star (DSS). For his one year tour of duty as a UN Military Observer in Morocco/ Western Sahara, he was awarded the MINURSO Medal. He was also awarded the Field Command Medal (FCM) and the Corps Medal of Honour (CMH) amongst others from the Nigerian Army. Retired Brig Gen Laleye has a BSc (Hons) in Physics (NDA 1988), Masters in Public Administration (MPA, 2008 Ahmadu Bello University) and a Master of Science in Defense, Security and Disaster Management from the University of Yaounde II Cameroon (2011). His notable military appointments were Senior Operations Officer, Operation RESTORE HOPE(2006- 2008), Chief Instructor Airbone Wing Nigerian Army School of Infantry(2008-9), Director of Records Nigerian Army Headquarters Department of Military Secretary(2009-10), Commander 81 Division Garrison(2011-12), Commander 1 Division Garrison(2013), Director Army Public Relations(2014-15), Commander 4 Brigade Nigerian Army/Commander Sector 1 Operation PULO SHIELD(2015), Chief of Staff HQ Infantry Corps and Centre(2015) and Senior Research Fellow Nigerian Army Resource Center(2015-16). Retired General Laleye’s operational experiences span his participation in the United Nations Mission in the Western Sahara (1993-1994), Operation HARMONY IV BAKASSI PENINSULA (1997 – 2002), Operation RESTORE HOPE (Niger Delta 2006 – 2008), Operation LAFIYA DOLE NORTH CENTRAL NIGERIA (BOKO HARAM 2013 – 2014) and Operation PULO SHIELD (Niger Delta 2015). Retired Brig Gen Laleye is an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR) and a Fellow Nigerian Institute of Management Consultants (FNIMC). He is multi lingual (English, Yoruba, French and Hausa). He is married with children and has several hobbies.

Hajiya Safiya Tukur

Hajiya Safiya Tukur was born on the 23rd of August 1949 in Zaria, Kaduna state. She obtained Bachelor of Art Degree (History) in 1973. Hajiya Safiya Tukur started her career as a class teacher with kaduna state Goverment and was posted to Queen Amina College, she rose to become the Principal Goverment secondary school Malunfashi in 1980-1982 and Goverment Girls secondary school Tafawa Balewa way kd between 1982 and 1986. She became the Executive Secretary, state Commission for Women Kaduna State in 1994-1997, Director General,Ministry of Agriculture and Forest Resources from 1997-1998, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Women Affairs, youth and Social Development from 1999-2000.and re appointed again as oversee and permanent Secretary of the same ministry until her retirement from the kaduna state Goverment and in 2009. She has attended many seminars and Workshops at Local, National and International levels on different subject matters. She was a member of Many Governing Councils which include Creation of Kad State University and Committee on the Provision of free Medical Services to Pregnant Women and Children under Five in kd State 2006-2007 and a recipient of many Awards. Hajiya Safiya Tukur was married to Late Alh M.B Tukur and blessed with Six Children

Ahmed Yahaya Jere

Ahmed yahaya jere,An Administrator and a Philanthropist,Was born on the 2nd day of April ,1969,In jere, Kagarko Local Government Area of kaduna State, Nigeria. Obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Honours)in History and International Studies from the University of Maiduguri(1993) Worked in the Federal Ministries of Information, Education and The Kaduna State Legislature at various Capacity. From 2008,-2014 ,He Served as Member Intrim Management Committee of Kagarko LGA and Later Vice Chairman of the Local Government. At Various time, Ahmed yahaya jere, was Appointed Chairman Revenue Generation Committee, Chairman, Sports Development Committee, Chairman land Advisory committee, Chairman Fertilizer Distribution Committee. Ahmed attended Several Seminars, Conferences and Workshops both at Home and Abroad. He is Happily Married with Children.

Barrister Amina Gidado Halilu

Barrister Amina Gidado Halilu was born in the late 50's in yola , Adamawa state. She obtained LL.B Hons from the University of Maiduguri in 1984 and worked in different capacity at High court of Justice Maiduguri and Chief Magistrate court yola in the late 70's. in 1988 she served as Secretary Judicial service Commission, High court of Justice yola and Secretary Yola local Government Area in the same year. Barrister Aminatu joined the New Nigeria Development Company limited and retired as Acting Managing director New Capital properties limited, a subsidiary of the conpany in 2010. She is a Director of Many Companies and institutions,which include,Adamawa State polytechnics yola and Norrhern Nigeria Flour Mills limited. She is married and blessed with many Children.
